Tell us more about your background and interests at work
My academic journey has been driven by a strong interest in the intersection of culture, politics, and transnational cooperation. Transitioning from a BA in Literature and Linguistics (University of Antwerp, BE) into an MA in European Studies (KU Leuven, BE) and then to an MSc in Culture and Conflict in a Global Europe at the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK), has made me able to build strong connections across different academic fields and has equipped me with strong analytical skills.
Through my previous experiences at the European Parliament and the Council of Europe, I have gained practical insights into European affairs, communications, youth affairs and education, cultural diplomacy, artistic freedom, and the governance of cultural heritage at the European and international level.
Your mission at KEA and what you want to bring to the table
My experience in working for the European institutions has reinforced my belief in the power of culture to foster constructive dialogue, democratic participation, and transnational collaboration. I look forward to contributing to innovative and inspiring projects that aim to strengthen the cultural and creative sectors in Europe.
Overall, I hope to gain more hands-on experience in policymaking, research in the cultural and creative industries, and project management.
Tell us something you love to do outside of work!
I love playing the violin and I perform with orchestras on a regular basis. Music has always been a significant part of my life, and I enjoy the collaborative energy of playing music together with others. Beyond that, I’m passionate about theatre, museum gift shops, and wandering around cities looking for nice coffee places.
