Project summary

StreamSCAPES aims to catalyze a sustainable climate transition (SCT) in the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs), focusing on greening Video-On-Demand (VOD) platforms. It combines interdisciplinary research, stakeholder engagement, and tool development to measure and reduce carbon footprints in audiovisual production and streaming. Key outputs include the Green Production Tool (GPT), Green Streaming Tool (GST), SCT certification, StreamSCAPES Dashboard, and a First Aid Handbook for citizens and professionals. The project engages youth through surveys and focus groups, and aligns with the EU Green Deal and Industrial Strategy.

KEA's contribution

KEA leads several key components of the project, including the development and coordination of the StreamSCAPES Dashboard (WP5), the pilot SCT certification (WP4.4), and the synthesis of testing results (WP4.5). KEA also heads the Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation (DCE) strategy (WP6–8), producing policy briefs, podcasts, a MOOC, and the final video. KEA’s role bridges research, stakeholder engagement, and policy translation, ensuring the project’s outputs reach cultural professionals, policymakers, and citizens.
