Study “Towards a European Framework for Mobility in Culture”

Project summary

The study provided timely, authoritative information to the European Parliament’s CULT Committee on developing a European framework for the mobility of artists and culture professionals. It analysed existing data on mobility, identified key obstacles, and assessed synergies with other EU funds. The findings aimed to inform legislative work on the new Creative Europe programme (2021–2027) and support policy improvements facilitating mobility within the cultural and creative sectors.

KEA's contribution

KEA performed desk research, analysing obstacles to mobility, and assessing policy proposals for the new Creative Europe programme. KEA prepared a written report, a PowerPoint presentation, and supported live Q&A for the CULT Committee, providing actionable recommendations to enhance mobility frameworks for artists and culture professionals across the EU.
