Study on the revision of the Cinema Communication

Project summary

KEA conducted research on policy options for revising the EC 2001 Cinema Communication, which sets guidelines for assessing state aids to cinema. The study assessed how the Communication has been applied and provided legal and policy recommendations to better suit the cinema sector.

KEA's contribution

KEA carried out desk research of specialised literature and legal texts, analysed relevant Treaty provisions and EU state aid decisions, performed policy analysis on cinema sector specificities, and drafted the final study with policy recommendations.
