Project summary

The study provided an overview of national solutions for using audiovisual orphan works across Europe, reporting on developments in EU27 countries and Norway, and Member States’ positions regarding the proposed Directive on Orphan Works. Four case studies (France, Hungary, Netherlands, Denmark) were analysed.

KEA's contribution

KEA conducted bibliographical research, collected data via email questionnaires and interviews with relevant stakeholders, performed legal comparative analysis of copyright legislation in EU Member States, and drafted the final study with policy recommendations.
