Assessing the Long-Term Impact of Mons 2015

Project summary

KEA conducted a longitudinal study to evaluate the economic, social, cultural, and image-related impacts of Mons European Capital of Culture 2015. The study defined quantitative and qualitative indicators, collected data from statistical databases and cultural institutions, and carried out online surveys, focus groups, and interviews. The project also mapped the local cultural and creative industries to assess the event’s impact and provided recommendations to ensure the sustainability of cultural investments and long-term local development.
