Strategic advice to the Babi Yar Holocaust Museum

Project summary

The project aimed to develop a strategy for community and stakeholder engagement aligned with the Babi Yar Holocaust Museum’s vision and mission. Activities included analysing the political, economic, cultural, environmental, and social context; mapping stakeholders; assessing public opinion; and designing meaningful engagement processes. The strategy focused on creating sustainable synergies among multiple stakeholder groups and enhancing public contribution to museum activities. The project also included recommendations for international positioning and developing European partnerships and projects, ensuring a broader impact of the museum at national and international levels.

KEA's contribution

KEA carried out fieldwork (interviews and focus groups), desk research, and policy recommendations. KEA developed stakeholder maps, engagement strategies, and public participation frameworks to foster meaningful interaction with diverse audiences. Additionally, KEA advised on international positioning and partnership opportunities, supporting the museum in strengthening its European and global networks.
