STARTUP

Project summary

STARTUP aims to develop a European Creative Placemaking Framework aligned with New European Bauhaus values of sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetics. It focuses on local cultural praesidia—small cultural institutions and reused heritage buildings—as hubs for transformation. The project combines basic research and co-creation trials across 8 cities in 7 EU countries using mixed methods such as interviews, workshops, cultural mapping, spatial analysis, and policy synthesis. It includes fieldwork, co-creation trials, spatial and policy analysis, and culminates in a synthesis into the NEB-oriented framework. Communication and dissemination are key components, ensuring stakeholder engagement and uptake of results.
