SPARKS

Project summary

SPARKS is a Horizon 2020-funded European project aimed at promoting Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) across 29 countries, including the 28 EU Member States and Switzerland. The project engages citizens and stakeholders through an interactive touring exhibition, participatory activities (e.g., science cafés, pop-up science shops, scenario workshops), and innovative engagement formats. Data collection and analysis help evaluate citizens’ perceptions of RRI and partners’ learning experiences, resulting in a toolkit for best practices in engaging society in RRI and policy recommendations to foster transparent and participatory research.

KEA's contribution

KEA led the design and implementation of the communication strategy, developing promotional materials, managing the website and social media channels, producing newsletters and press releases, and coordinating dissemination actions. KEA also captured project learnings through visitor surveys, developed reporting templates for partners, and supported the creation of a toolkit and policy recommendations to improve participatory engagement in RRI.
