Implementing steps to develop and promote European Music Export

Project summary

Building on the 2018 study on European music export, this project aimed to generate knowledge and experiment with new approaches to European music export through pilot implementation of elements of the European Music Export Strategy. It analysed the impact of COVID-19, developed capacity-building models, and tested approaches to reinforce the EU music sector’s international presence. The project also provided recommendations for future implementation and sustainability of the strategy, and managed communication and dissemination activities.

KEA's contribution

KEA formulated research strategies and methodologies, reviewed and advised on research activities, contributed to drafting policy recommendations, and managed communication and dissemination. KEA also supported the design and pilot implementation of capacity-building programmes and provided feedback on trends and needs analyses.
