Formulation of the EU action “Regional programme on culture and creativity in the Western Balkans”

Project summary

This project supported the formulation of an EU-funded action to enhance cultural cooperation within the Western Balkans and with the EU. It aligned with IPA objectives, the Western Balkans Strategy, and the future Creative Europe Programme. The assignment analysed needs and opportunities to inform EC decision-making and aimed to strengthen cultural sectors, mobility, heritage promotion, public-private partnerships, and inclusive policymaking.

KEA's contribution

KEA conducted desk research and country mappings in Serbia and North Macedonia, analysed EU programmes relevant to the region, carried out fieldwork including interviews and workshops, and developed a logical framework and policy recommendations for the regional programme.
