Evaluation of UNESCO International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD)

Project summary

This evaluation assesses the progress made on implementing recommendations from previous evaluations of the IFCD (cycles 7 to 13), identifies lessons learned, and provides recommendations for future governance and implementation. It focuses on relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of the IFCD in the context of the 2005 Convention. The evaluation includes document review, interviews, field visits, and a beneficiary survey. Findings will support the Secretariat’s efforts to monitor and improve the implementation of funded projects.

KEA's contribution

KEA designed and implemented the evaluation framework, conducted interviews with stakeholders including beneficiaries and UNESCO representatives, and carried out field visits to selected project countries. KEA also led the data collection and analysis, including a beneficiary survey, and formulated recommendations to improve the IFCD’s governance, impact, and sustainability.
