Project summary

The project aimed to support Slovak national authorities in reforming and enhancing public measures for Cultural Industries (books, press, TV, film, radio, music, video games). It involved extensive desk research, comparative policy analysis, stakeholder consultations, and the development of an AS-IS and TO-BE report. The final output included policy recommendations to revise the existing Strategy of CCIs Development (2014–2020) and guide the creation of a future Strategy and Action Plan.

KEA's contribution

KEA led the project, conducting in-depth research and analysis of Slovakia’s Cultural Industries. This included evaluating existing public policies, comparing them with practices in Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland, and assessing investment potential. KEA also facilitated stakeholder engagement through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and workshops, culminating in actionable policy recommendations for national reform.
